How to remove calcium chloride from the mother liquor
What Shmo products are being produced? ? The pH of the mother liquor was adjusted to above 12.5 using an NaOH solution with a mass concentration of 200 g/L, and stirring was carried out at around 80°C for several dozen minutes. The calcium hydroxide precipitate was filtered out while it was still hot; measurements showed that the mass concentration of calcium in the filtrate was 0.26 g/L. The obtained calcium hydroxide is first washed with a 0.1% by mass NaOH solution, and then rinsed with pure water until no Cl- is present in the wash solution. The calcium hydroxide product is dried at 80–100°C to yield an industrial-grade calcium hydroxide product.
The method for purifying primary brine using an ion exchange membrane to remove CaCl2 involves adding Na2CO3 to produce CaCO3 precipitate + NaCl.
It would be best if the original poster could explain under what circumstances the mother liquor exists
I don’t know what solvent you’re using, or whether the mother liquor contains water. If the solubility of the solvent in calcium chloride is very low and the mother liquor contains water, a certain amount of solvent or a solvent with a low boiling point, such as ethanol or ethyl acetate, can be added; thereafter the solvent is distilled off, using the solvent (in an amount less than or equal to that added) to carry away the water. In this way, the material does not precipitate; instead, calcium chloride precipitates. The calcium chloride can then be filtered out, and that’s it.
