What software do people use for designing heat exchangers? Please come out and share your experience! I use aspen b-jac
Aspen B-Jac works very well in combination with Aspen Plus.
Why not use HTRI? That’s what we’re using now
The one we use the most at the moment is Aspen B-Jac!
We use HTRI because it has good integration with Aspen and PROII, allowing property data to be easily exported from Aspen and PROII.

We use software that we have developed ourselves; sometimes we also employ software developed in collaboration with universities, and at other times we use tools like Aspen. However, these tools serve only to assist in verification, so as to avoid major mistakes or errors that might arise from relying on a single software solution.
I also use HTRI; I just learned it from the expert, and it seems more useful than TASC. The connection with ProII is excellent as well, allowing property data to be exported from PROII quite easily
It seems that the data on pro is not comprehensive enough
