Since new sulfur is being introduced, training materials are currently being prepared, and there are a few basic concepts that are often confused. I contacted the design institute by sending two emails, but I didn’t get any reply, so I didn’t feel comfortable calling them directly. Therefore, I would like to ask the experts on this forum: 1. The one-way conversion rate in the sulfur production section; 2. The conversion rate in the sulfur production section; 3. The overall sulfur conversion rate. PS: I am currently preparing training materials, and the new plant uses the SSR process. I was wondering if anyone could provide some relevant information for reference!
The so-called one-way conversion rates for the sulfur production section refer to the conversion rate of the reaction furnace, the conversion rate of the first reactor, and the conversion rate of the second reactor. The conversion rate in the sulfur production section is the sum of the above three conversion rates. For example, if the conversion rate of the reaction reactor is 70%, the conversion rate of the first reactor is 20%, and the conversion rate of the second reactor is 7%, then the conversion rate in the sulfur production section is 97%. The overall conversion rate of sulfur is typically calculated based on the SO2 in the exhaust flue gases.
