Colleagues! What are good strategies for processing Tahe crude oil? Please give your advice
Tahe oil is a relatively poor-quality crude oil, with high salt content and high levels of coking asphaltenes; the best approach is to blend it with other crude oils for refining.
Control the furnace outlet temperature and circulation ratio, adopt a high circulation ratio scheme; for example, in the Tahe plant, monitor the surface temperature and pressure drop of the furnace tubes in the 0.7 heating furnace, and process the Tahe crude oil residue directly to prevent salt formation during distillation
The crude oil from Tahe in Xinjiang is known for its \"five highs\": high sulfur content, high residue, high acid value, high density, and high heavy metal content. *During the processing of crude oil from Tahe in Xinjiang, a series of modifications were carried out on the atmospheric and vacuum distillation units as well as the coking unit. First, in the atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, new facilities such as a first-stage electrical desalination unit, flash towers, heating furnaces, oil pumps, and heat exchangers were added by making use of existing equipment; meanwhile, the existing demulsifier tanks, corrosion inhibitor tanks, and electrical desalination systems were appropriately modified to meet the desalination requirements of this crude oil ; To address the issue of high salt content in the residue, which could lead to salt deposition in furnace tubes or heat exchangers, additional lines for diesel and wax oil were added before the residue enters the tank, in order to dilute the residue and reduce its salt content as well as viscosity. Secondly, in the coking unit, since the light components in Tahe crude oil are higher than those in the vacuum residue feed processed by the previous unit, this inevitably leads to an increased gas-phase load on the distillation column. To increase the operating capacity of the column, the trays located in the upper part of the distillation column were replaced; the original strip-type floating valve trays were modified into high-flow three-dimensional mass transfer (CTST) trays, thereby enhancing the operational flexibility ; To raise the temperature of the feed oil and supplement the control measures for the wax oil process, an additional heat exchanger for feed oil and wax oil was installed ; To prevent equipment corrosion, two injection processes have been added: water injection and amine injection ; Given the high aromatic content, high coke production rate, and increased tendency to coking in Tahe crude oil, in order to effectively prevent tube coking and extend the operational cycle, an anti-coking agent is added to the water injection tank; this agent mixes with the water before entering the radiant tubes, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing coking ; In the feeding process, a loading line and a cross-line connection to the raw materials have been added, so that Tahe crude oil can either be fed into the tank farm or directly used for thermal feeding.
