Automatic continuous slag discharge machine for acetylene generators

Our factory uses manual slag removal for the bottom valves, while the acetylene generators are equipped with automatic continuous slag removers. According to the information available, these systems seem to work well. Are there any instances of actual use of such systems, and what are the results?
A technology manufacturer once came to our company for discussions; in simple terms, it involved using inclined chute elevators to continuously remove the calcium carbide slag from the bottom of the generator. From what I understand, it is indeed a good innovation. But so far, no company has adopted it. I think there are two reasons: first, the current manual slag removal process is simple, with a low failure rate. Meets production requirements. Secondly, continuous slag discharge did not bring any immediate benefits to subsequent production.
However, to prevent blockages in the lower part of the manual slag discharge generator and in the overflow pipe, a large amount of clean water is injected, which results in lower temperatures in those areas as well as during slag discharge. Could this lead to an excessive amount of acetylene being carried along?
