Pure water system for electrolysis

The pure water is produced using a first-stage reverse osmosis + EDI process, with scale inhibitors being added before the first-stage reverse osmosis step; these inhibitors are of the Type 1000 manufactured by Dow Corporation. I would like to know whether the addition of these scale inhibitors during the pure water production process has any impact on the ion exchange membrane brine system. I’d appreciate hearing from those who have experience using scale inhibitors in the first-stage reverse osmosis process. Thank you. # &
Scale inhibitors are added to prevent scaling and blockages in the reverse osmosis desalination units of pure water systems, thereby ensuring the stable operation of these systems; they have no impact on the quality of the pure water. Therefore, there is no need for concern regarding their effect on the electrolysis units. The operational stability of the primary RO+EDI process may have some issues.
