What are the physical and chemical properties of o-xylene? What are the requirements for the tank in which it is stored? What should be noted in terms of operation?
The flash point of o-xylene is 30, and it is a flammable liquid with a high flash point; it should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from flames and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidizers; mixed storage is strictly prohibited. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. The use of mechanical equipment and tools that may generate sparks is prohibited. The storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leaks and appropriate containment materials.

Carbon steel pipeline valves will do; our facility also has floating roof tanks.
So, what this sea friend is suggesting is that vertical floating roof tanks can be used for storage? The storage of o-xylene requires high levels of containment for the storage tanks; what considerations should be taken if floating roof tanks are used for storage?

O-xylene can be stored in internal floating roof tanks (whose fire hazard classification is Class A B). Additionally, o-xylene is of low toxicity, and the exhaust gases must be recovered.
