One of our small horizontal sulfur furnaces is equivalent to a 20,000 tons/year sulfuric acid plant. The liquid sulfur temperature in the refined sulfur tank is 140-145°C. The refined sulfur pump passes through a jacketed pipeline about 20 meters long and is sent to the sulfur gun of the sulfur furnace for combustion through steam insulation. Question The problem is that the atomization effect of our sulfur gun is extremely poor. The spray is in the form of droplets and seems to be quite viscous. This causes the temperature of the rear section of the sulfur furnace to be higher than the temperature of the middle section. The phenomenon of sublimated sulfur is also quite serious. It is difficult to use imported sulfur guns for a small device like ours. Experts please help, how can I get a sulfur gun with good atomization effect? Is there any way to adjust the temperature of the liquid sulfur entering the sulfur gun to control the viscosity of the liquid sulfur at the nozzle of the sulfur gun? Thanks!

Is the outlet pressure of the sulfur pump low? Try increasing the pressure. Poor atomization is not a problem with the entire sulfur gun, but with the sulfur gun head. Replace it with a good sulfur gun head. The price of a sulfur gun head is about 2,000 yuan. Where is the sulfur gun from?
Atomization is only related to the sulfur gun nozzle and refined sulfur pump. It sounds like the liquid sulfur changes its viscosity only after the temperature changes after passing through the jacketed tube. If so, check the jacket insulation steam pressure or hydrophobicity, etc.
