Failure of the thick oil pump seal ring

The heavy oil pump used in our unit for transporting asphalt is a gear pump; the temperature of the medium being transported is around 160 degrees. Leaks often occur at the end caps, and although the sealing rings have been replaced several times, the problem persists. Those who have used such pumps, could you please share some ideas on how to resolve this issue?

There should be no issues with the assembly. I also think it’s a problem with the quality of the sealing ring – what material is best for a sealing ring?
