For a pressure vessel, the head design is designated as EHA1000X10. Considering the amount of thinning that occurs during pressing, the manufacturer uses material with a thickness of 12 mm for manufacturing. Therefore, should the head specification in the warranty document be listed as EHA1000X10 or EHA1000X12?

The quality certificate for the head should specify EHA1000X12, which represents the actual thickness of the material used. According to GB150, the thickness of a convex head after it has been formed must be at least equal to the nominal thickness of that component minus the negative deviation of the steel plate; this requirement is in place to account for the differences in manufacturing capabilities among various head manufacturers, thereby assigning the responsibility for quality control of the heads to the container manufacturers themselves. Therefore, the actual material thickness used in bidding should meet the requirements of GB150 and relevant head manufacturing standards.
I’m not sure what material the head is made of. If it’s Q235, then the quality certificate for the head should specify EHA1000X12, which refers to the actual thickness of the material used. The thickness after shaping should be no less than 11.2; if this requirement isn’t met, the head is considered defective, so what’s the point of having a quality guarantee? The manufacturer uses plates with a thickness of 12 instead of 10, as they are concerned that plates with a thickness of 10 won’t reach a thickness of 9.2 after shaping.
