I believe that as a responsible forum, it is essential to clearly distinguish between reposted content and original content. I hope that all reposted posts are clearly labeled as “Repost”! As a member who actively participates in discussions, I like Haidian because it has real experts, original works, and lively discussions. If irresponsible reposting can yield a lot of recognition and money, it will have a very negative impact on the forum. Articles from 2003 and 2006 were reposted and received positive reviews just because of that. Skilled members won’t engage in discussions like these, as they know that you’re not the original author and that your skill level isn’t even enough to write such articles. But this gives new members a bad impression; if they think that copying and pasting can get them lots of positive evaluations, they won’t bother to think critically before answering questions. In my opinion, these two articles contribute less to the forum than the questions posed by newcomers, such as “What does a project manager do?”"

Of course, deleting posts must be done carefully and with proper justification. 2) Since most articles are based on existing ones, what matters is whether the copying is done skillfully. Plagiarism that helps solve problems isn’t necessarily bad; it’s not necessary to provide original answers to every question. The purpose of answering questions is to solve them, and plagiarism, or what we might call citation, is just a means to achieve that goal. There are quite a number of long posts on the forum that discuss academic topics or technical details—these were certainly not written by the original poster word by word. Yet, it’s still difficult to manage such posts properly. Excessive supervision can drive away users; similarly, too much scrutiny can prevent people from participating. Especially in a forum where a certain level of activity is needed, management and punishment are always supplementary measures, while appropriate encouragement and rewards are usually the main approaches. The original poster is right to suggest the establishment of a supervision mechanism. But such a mechanism relies on the help of everyone—people have sharp eyes, and only when everyone participates can the supervision and reporting system function effectively. The original poster is thoughtful; I hope they will continue to contribute to the development of the forum by taking an active role in supervision.
