Why are there so many standards for steel flanges in national standards, while there are so few standards for cast iron flanges? For example, is there no standard for butt-welded cast iron pipe flanges?
I’ve seen flanges that are forged; I’ve never seen cast iron flanges, so there probably aren’t any such flanges.
Steel flange materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, low-temperature steel, and so on. However, flanges are all \"forged\"; I have never heard of any \"cast\" ones, that is, those made of cast iron.
