Can anyone please tell me what color of anti-corrosion coating should be used on the exterior of storage tanks (vacuum diesel, residual oil, asphalt tanks)? 0
Heavy oil tanks are generally black, and light oil tanks are silver.
Vacuum diesel, residual oil, and asphalt tanks are all insulated tanks. The protective layer outside the insulation layer may be galvanized iron sheet or color steel plate. Galvanized iron is silver-white. Colored steel plates are available in blue and gray. There are no strict rules. The ones that are not insulated are light oil. In order to prevent increased losses due to heat, it is better to use silver.
It may have something to do with the region. There are differences between the Northeastern region and the Southern region. There is no unified regulation: lol
The oxygen tanks we generally make are blue and the nitrogen tanks are yellow. Cryogenic liquid tanks made by other manufacturers are white. Some of these are industry-specific, and some vary from person to person.
