I hope to get everyone’s help; thank you. Currently, there is brine containing about 12% salt (mainly NaCl), and I would like to use multi-effect distillation or multiple-stage flashing techniques to obtain crystalline salt and fresh water. Which technique is better? If none of them are suitable, are there any relatively mature technologies and equipment available to treat such concentrated brine in order to obtain crystalline salts? What is the approximate cost to evaporate a meal’s worth of such saltwater now? Thank you so much!

In the horizontal-tube multi-effect evaporation system, the pre-final effect uses horizontal-tube evaporators or falling-film evaporators, which feature high heat transfer coefficients and advanced technology, while the final effect makes use of forced-circulation evaporators.
