I have been to several refineries, and there are countless analysis tasks there. It’s hard to explain in detail. I work in chromatography, so all I can tell you is about the applications of chromatography: analyzing the oxygen content in gasoline, refinery gases, hydrogen, water gas, sulfides, total hydrocarbons, and so on
You can first consult your process engineer and ask him which items need to be analyzed; then we can pool everyone’s expertise to help solve the problem, which might speed things up
This is indeed a difficult question to answer, as the analysis items for different systems and units vary greatly; if they were to be written down, it would take dozens of pages without fail!
