Dear forum members, I work mainly in the field of plasticizers. After various events in 2008, I truly realized the risks and challenges associated with the commodity economy. Take one product as an example: DOP, or dioctyl phthalate, saw its price rise to 17,000 during the Olympic Games, only to drop to 6,800 just two months later – a situation even more volatile than those in the stock market. I also suffered losses as a result. Looking ahead to 2009, I believe things will get better. Today, its price rose by 200; I’m happy about that (since I have some inventory). I don’t expect high profits, but rather stability. I hope those who read this post will offer their support and share their opinions. Wishing everyone great success in the Year of the Ox!

It seems you are in the DOP sales business, haha. Last year we imported 2000 tons of it, and as soon as we sold it all, the market collapsed. My colleagues say that the lowest prices for DOP last year were quite unusual; haha. If one can buy it at those lowest prices, they could make a fortune. This year, I expect prices to remain stable and rise gradually. So, congratulations on your success! :lol :lol
