If a drawing drawn with AUTOCAD2004 is opened with the 2008 version, it will show "invalid file" when opened with the 2004 version. Is it a version problem? Is there any good solution?
That is the problem that the lower version cannot open the cad file of the higher version. You can set the version of the saved file in 08.
This problem should occur if you open it with 08 and 04 at the same time.； If you have opened it with 08 and selected save when exiting, this problem will also occur when you open it with 04. The solution is not mentioned in the first case, but in the second case: Open the file with 08 and choose to save it as version 04 format.
The autocad version is only backward compatible, not upward compatible. In other words, a higher version can open a lower version, but not vice versa. Just like Ps2 is compatible with ps. :D
