In a catalytic cracking unit, the temperature at the bottom of the fractionation tower is generally higher than the temperature below the baffle plates. Can it be said that when the temperature below the baffle plates is higher than that at the bottom of the tower, it indicates that the liquid level at the bottom of the tower is not full? If the temperature at the bottom of the tower is higher than the temperature under the chevron baffle, does that mean the liquid level is full?
The liquid level at the bottom of the tower can be controlled through temperature; however, the liquid level in our distillation tower has always been problematic. The liquid level has been controlled via the three temperature points under the large oil and gas pipe. No problems have arisen.
Does a positive temperature difference between the gas phase and the bottom of the tower indicate that the liquid level is not full, while a negative temperature difference means the bottom of the tower is full?
I think when the liquid level in the fractionation tower is full, it means the liquid level has reached the inlet for the reaction gas and oil. If the reaction conditions remain unchanged, the slurry circulation is normal, and the flow rates and temperatures of the slurry entering and leaving the tower are within normal ranges, then if the temperature of the baffle is lower than the temperature at the bottom of the tower, it indicates that the liquid level must be full ; At this point, the pressure drop in the fractionation tower will definitely increase.
