Why is waste nitrogen extracted from the bottom of some distillation columns while it is extracted from the top of others? What is the difference between the two?
Why is waste nitrogen extracted from the bottom of some distillation columns while it is extracted from the top of others? What is the difference between the two? I have carried out the process of extracting contaminated liquid nitrogen from the middle section of the lower tower and sending it to the middle section of the upper tower, as well as the process of eliminating this step. There is no significant difference in the manufacturing processes between the two. I’m not sure if this answers the question asked by the original poster. (For reference)
The specific form of process to be chosen should be determined through calculations based on the particular circumstances; most of those I’ve seen involve extracting the contaminated nitrogen from the top of the tower
It is generally extracted from the middle part of the upper tower
