The process water used in our flue gas desulfurization project is the circulating cooling water from the power plant; after being used, it returns to the closed-loop system. Has this water been cooled by a cooling tower or not?
Just check the inlet water temperature; the temperature after cooling in the cooling tower is 4 or 5 degrees lower than the ambient temperature
But how can one judge if they haven’t been to the scene?
The process water used in desulfurization mainly consists of two parts: process make-up water, water for flushing pipelines and equipment, and water for cooling equipment; The main sources of process make-up water and flushing water are the reclaimed water from power plants; equipment cooling water requires higher water quality standards, so industrial water from power plants is typically used, which then enters a closed-loop system!
Process water is reclaimed water; it has nothing to do with cooling towers, right?
In the desulfurization system, the process water includes process make-up water, water used for flushing pipelines and equipment, and water used for cooling equipment. Make-up water and flushing water are typically introduced into the desulfurization system for recycling without the need for cooling. Water used for cooling equipment and for washing gypsum requires high quality; it should be recycled whenever possible!
