In areas where it is not suitable to locate a pump house, namely those with an average annual precipitation of over 1,000 mm, it is recommended to install a pump shed. Are there any additional requirements regarding the precipitation level for setting up such a pump shed? If there is heavy rainfall, would installing an open-air pumping station pose difficulties due to the rain?
Of course, preparations against wind and floods must be made, as motors must not be exposed to water. The decision not to build a pump room is based on safety considerations, to prevent the accumulation of oil and gas; it is not a mandatory requirement.
