In the logic for controlling the pump within function block SIO-12, where does the condition signal (SIO.ALAM.NR) come from – from the field or from the power distribution system?
In the logic that controls the pump, the condition (SIO.ALAM.NR) signal is a 24V DC power supply, whose signal is controlled by a relay in the DCS.
SIO.ALRM.NR – assuming that SIO refers to the name of the SIO-12 module, this phrase indicates that there is no alarm status for this module, meaning that the control of the field equipment is functioning properly. When the on-site valve is not opened fully, other alarm conditions will occur; it will no longer be NR.
The signal source should be a DI, that is, the status of your pump switch is connected to the DI card; during configuration, just drag a PIO block over
This signal does not come from the field or the power distribution system; it is a status signal built into SIO-12, which we can call as needed.
