If raising the edge doesn’t work, increase the drainage groove; generally, there is a molded drainage groove available.
Wavy edge belts are used for belt conveyors with large inclination angles; a 90-degree angle is no problem. The key factors are the type of material, belt width, and conveying capacity, and the height of the edge can be selected based on these parameters. You can also ask the tape manufacturer for a reference value. I have designed many pieces using wave-shaped edge tape at 90 degrees.
