Management procedures for replying to topic posts

Recently, it has been observed that many members of this forum tend to repeat the same content when replying to topic posts, and there are too many cases where their responses are off-topic! Some moderators also rate posts based solely on their length (without considering the topic of the post). This move **is not conducive to the development of the Haichuan Forum.** In light of the above situation, I suggest: 1. Require members to reply to the topic post before they can view the content of other members’ posts; this will not only reduce plagiarism but also facilitate mutual learning among everyone! 2. The scoring of reply posts focuses on quality; posts that do not address the question will be deleted or not rated at all! Please, fellow sailors, leave comments to discuss whether my humble suggestions are appropriate!
The Discuz! code for hiding content, Abc, can achieve the function you mentioned, but it is likely not available to regular members. Moreover, requiring everyone who replies in a thread to use this code means that many people won’t know how to use it, which could lead to other negative effects; therefore, it’s better to use it with caution. Regarding the moderators, it’s actually quite tough work, which is understandable; however, it’s also important to listen to these suggestions. For the daily question, let’s stick to the method used in past exams! That would be fair and just, but a bit less transparent.
It’s simple to implement, but the problem is that many people simply don’t use these features at all.
In this situation, I think it mainly relies on self-discipline; using administrative measures for management is always inappropriate. Requiring the forum moderators to be present in every aspect is also a bit much. HaiChuan has a solid platform foundation, which allows for management through guidance; some repetition is inevitable. If anything is found, it can be reported or communicated to the moderators via text message. Only by all of us working together to manage and care for the forum can it keep improving!

Actually, although the original poster’s suggestion is good, it might only be applicable to those discussion posts where the answer is already known and unique. However, for posts related to technical exchanges, there’s no need to hide answers. As the saying goes, it is through confrontation that sparks of insight are generated. It’s not true that everyone’s answer will be correct, but by referring to the posts of others, subsequent forum members might come up with some valuable ideas, which can also serve as a good way to solve the problems discussed in those posts – it’s what’s meant by having diverse opinions. ——As the original poster mentioned, there will definitely be instances where excerpts from earlier posts are used in subsequent posts, which is what’s meant by repetition; this is inevitable. When such cases are detected, it’s necessary to determine whether it’s intentional copying without any original opinions, or unintentional copying with some personal insights added. For those who do it intentionally, severe punishment is certainly imposed, as such situations are difficult to detect; once discovered, the penalties are relatively stricter.
