Ordinary pipes can be pressure-tested using water, but liquid chlorine pipes and Freon pipes cannot be pressure-tested with water; they must be pressure-tested using compressed air. The equipment only needs to be cleaned manually.
I would like to know how to capture metal residues and debris while cleaning pipelines and tanks. Could those who know please explain in detail? How can one determine that there are no leaks in the flanges and welds of the chlorine gas main and the hydrogen gas main? What should be the pressure used for testing? Does welding cause carbon damage?
