For rainwater ditches that cross roads, it is recommended to use underground pipes or culverts; also, pay attention to using thicker covers for rainwater manholes. Oh lol. Additionally, for roads used by heavy-duty vehicles, it is advisable to follow the design standards for municipal roads. For reference!
If it is to be used temporarily, or if heavy vehicles do not pass by frequently, add thicker iron plates over the ditch when heavy vehicles are used.
A trench is built with stones, and a load-bearing cement cover is placed on top to protect the pipes.
It is best to use concealed pipes; manhole covers for rainwater wells and inspection wells should be made of reinforced ductile iron. On curves where heavy vehicles pass frequently, it is advisable to avoid installing manholes, and if it is unavoidable, even the thickest manhole covers may not be able to withstand the stress. The manhole covers used in the testing equipment at our factory are made of thick steel plates to ensure they can resist damage.
Various design standards and specifications set requirements, but it is important that vehicles not exceeding the designed weight be allowed on the road.
Select an appropriate location, use micro steel truss bridges with built-in expansion gaps to regulate and guide traffic flow.
It is best to pave the roads in accordance with standards; rainwater should be allowed to flow through by using culverts. Placing anything on top of open ditches is a temporary and unreliable solution, and it can also pose safety risks
This situation often occurs at the beginning of construction at a site; the drainage system is usually installed first, otherwise rainwater cannot be drained from the site during heavy rains. Even after the drainage ditches are built, material trucks will continue to enter and leave the station for a long time; most of these trucks are overweight, and the covers designed for them generally cannot meet the load-bearing requirements. Therefore, finding a way to protect the rainwater ditches is indeed a problem. We generally use one of the following two methods: 1. Fill the drainage ditch with gravel in the designated area, with a 219-sized pipe at the bottom to ensure proper drainage. 2. Use thick steel plates to cover the drainage ditch.
