What are the common interlock devices for high-pressure pumps?
Our plant uses two-stage compression for chlorine transportation; the chlorine compressors are Siemens models. The inlet distribution plates of the second-stage compressors have become corroded, forming deep grooves in them. I’m not sure what the cause is – I hope experts can help analyze this issue. We use acid with a concentration of 98% to 95% for replacement; the temperature of the acid is around 50 degrees, and the outlet pressure is 8-10 kilograms.

I’m not sure which type of compressor the original poster is referring to; different types of compressors have different connection cables, and even the same type of compressor can use different connection cables when used in different locations. So please explain the usage in more detail, so that everyone can give you a response.
I’ll talk about the interlocks available in our piston compressors: interlock for high or low inlet pressure, interlock for high outlet pressure, interlock for high outlet temperature at each stage, interlock for high liquid level in the vapor-liquid separation tanks at each stage, interlock for high vibration levels, interlock for low cooling water flow, interlock in case of a fault with the main motor, interlock for low lubricating oil pressure, and interlock for low pressure of helium gas. That’s all I can think of for now.
