The ‘One Question per Day’ initiative has played a certain role in facilitating technical exchanges within this section, and the moderators have put in a lot of effort into it. However, there are still many issues with management, so it is necessary to reconsider this approach. Given that improving management would be costly, my personal suggestion is to suspend this activity for the Mechanical Equipment section (while other sections of the forum can continue as usual). The ranking of the sections doesn’t matter; just let things take their course! The moderator just needs to manage the technical discussion topic posts and reply posts properly. Since LTY raised this issue, there must be a problem, which makes me question my management approach: is it right to strive for high rankings by keeping the sections active? This led to moderators relaxing their oversight in order to improve rankings. :With problems, what’s to be feared is not bringing them to light, but rather failing to think and reflect on them. It’s definitely not about giving up altogether; let’s discuss stopping the daily question activity and improving its management! I just took a look; there are indeed quite a few replies to the Daily Question. http://bbs.hcbbs.com/viewthread.php?tid=381284&page=1#pid2025026 has 15 replies, with 14 people responding. This question is a short-answer question, and fewer people replied to it compared to the multiple-choice questions, with many multiple-choice questions receiving 50 to 60 responses. Composition of those who responded: aside from the consultants on the 2nd and 3rd floors, there is 1 student in the 8th grade, 5 in the 7th grade, 1 in the 6th grade, 2 in the 5th grade, with the rest being from the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd grades. It can be seen that: 1. Many people participated in the multiple-choice questions; reason for this: A. The answers are simple ； B. It can be guessed: C. The replication is also relatively hidden. The question-and-answer section is the opposite, so not many people answer it. 2. Personally, I think it would be best to strengthen management; completely eliminating it isn’t quite appropriate! There are a few suggestions: 1. It would be best if the topics were determined through discussion among everyone; only one question should be posed per day, and it must be a truly valuable question. 2. After a question is proposed, a deadline for discussion should be set, after which the answer will be revealed to help netizens refer to it. Since one question is assigned per day, it is recommended to pose the question in the morning and set the deadline for the evening. 3. Activity rules should be established to prevent copying. If the forum technology permits it, it would be best to have replies to the daily question, along with options to make those replies visible or uneditable; this way, copying could be prevented! Personally, I think it can continue without interruption; the following measures can be taken (the moderators will have to put in more effort: lol): 1. Moderators need to monitor the thread regularly, provide feedback as soon as the correct answer is found, and lock the topic immediately； 2. It is possible to limit the number of floors; if there is no correct answer, the correct answer will be revealed and that topic will be locked. In short, this makes the work for the editor a bit more strenuous! As long as the goal of learning together and improving together is achieved, that’s sufficient.

Personally, I feel that the daily question trend is also becoming a formality. Everyone has a tendency to follow trends; if there are no good topics, forcing a question every day will inevitably lead to superficiality.
One must never generalize; otherwise, it’s as if we go back to square one, and that is a major taboo in forums. Based on the issues arising from the reactions, systems can be established to improve things and provide guidance step by step, so as to achieve development in a gradual manner.

Actually, there’s nothing wrong with one question per day; the problem lies in the way it’s used. If it’s truly possible to create high-quality daily questions, then within three years a book featuring professional-grade layouts could be published. Obviously, I don’t think the chances are very high. The repetition and novelty of questions, as well as their practicality, will eventually tire out the moderators. Hehe, if the concept of the daily question is combined with the punishment idea that my sister mentioned, it might yield additional benefits; worth giving it some thought.
The “One Question per Day” feature was first introduced by the moderator zhangya*ong; he did an excellent job in creating the questions and making sure they were posted in a timely manner. But the other posts that followed suit do indeed have some issues with question setting and management; it’s difficult to focus on doing one thing properly. I hope zhangya*ong can persevere! There are always more solutions than problems; keep it up!
Zhang did a good job indeed, but since no technical measures such as shielding or making replies visible were used, and some of the questions were too simple or could be easily found through search engines like Baidu, a large number of reply posts that appeared to be copied text were created. In my opinion, whether to continue the daily question activity should be decided through careful discussion by various sections or moderators; I will not express a positive or negative view on this matter. However, if it is to continue, it is recommended that a code indicating that the content is visible only after replying be included in the post for the daily question at the top of each thread, and it should be stipulated that existing posts do not need to be edited ； At the same time, the moderators of each section should also adjust the way they formulate questions. It’s best to avoid those questions related to technical inquiries that can be easily found on Baidu; instead, questions should be based on real-world situations. Questions such as images of devices with a certain level of complexity or DCS screenshots showing faults encountered during production processes can serve as daily questions, which will not only encourage technical discussions among members but also increase the popularity of the forum. Nothing is perfect; there are no absolute things. It’s impossible to make the content of the daily question reach a level of excellence; not even a deity could do that. It’s normal for there to be repetitions; just as everyone of us needs to express their opinions, different and identical things both exist. The purpose of the daily question is to encourage communication and learning; even if someone copies it, I think they have still learned from it ； A forum is open to all; why bother taking such petty actions seriously? Everyone should take a broader perspective and focus their efforts on developing the forum; once people come up with better ideas for revitalizing it, the forum will reach new heights! !
