1. Centrifuges should be inspected regularly to ensure that their functions, key components, and safety measures are all operating properly. At the same time, appropriate maintenance schedules for minor, medium, and major repairs should be established. II. After six months of use, this machine must be thoroughly inspected and maintained, with records kept. The main tasks for maintenance are as follows: 1. Thoroughly clean all lubrication points and then replace the lubricant with lithium molybdenum disulfide grease (Type 3). The main lubrication points of this machine include the upper and lower bearings of the spindle, the clutch bearing, the spherical washer of the swing rod, and the flat-head shaft of the braking mechanism ; 2. Check whether the bearing is damaged or excessively worn, and whether the fit between the inner and outer rings and the shaft and housing is loose ; 3. Whether the friction pads of the braking device and clutch are worn, and whether the V-belt is worn or stretched ; 4. Whether the seals are aged or deteriorated, resulting in leaks ; 5. Are there any damages or sticking issues with the rocker, spring, and spherical washer? ; 6. Are all connectors loose or corroded, and is the lining layer damaged? ; 7. Check whether the drum is deformed or corroded, with particular attention to the corrosion condition of the longitudinal welds. If the welds show significant thinning or a black, honeycomb-like porous structure, if there are obvious cracks at the interface between the weld and the base material, or if no metallic sound is produced when tapping the welds, use should be stopped immediately. III. Based on the inspection results, decide whether to clean, replace parts, or repair. If the drum is severely deformed or corroded, and the rotating parts are heavily worn, major repairs or part replacement should be carried out; emergency measures such as surface welding shall not be used. IV. The drum is the main working component of the centrifuge; it is a high-speed rotating part. During manufacturing, it undergoes strict dynamic balance checks and component inspection, and all longitudinal welds on the drum are inspected using X-ray testing. During use, in addition to closely monitoring its deformation and corrosion conditions, no devices may be attached to the drum (except for filter cloths and backing meshes), and it is not allowed to make any holes, weld, or remove parts from the drum. During maintenance, it is also not allowed to disassemble the drum cylinder and the drum bottom; after replacing the components on the drum, dynamic balancing must be performed again. V. The integrity of the centrifuge must be maintained; it is not allowed to remove, modify components at will, or add auxiliary devices. VI. Methods for Disassembling and Adjusting Key Components: 1. Drum Assembly: Remove the housing, spindle guard, spindle nut, washers, etc. Utilize the two removal screw holes on the upper surface of the drum bottom to secure the base plate of a custom-made removal tool to this surface with two screws; then gradually tighten the pushing screw to lift the drum bottom out of the spindle. If the fit becomes too tight due to rust in the tapered hole, the bottom surface can be tapped evenly with a wooden block, and then the drum can be removed using a screw. 2. Braking system: Once the drum is removed, the brake ring can be seen. Loosen the connecting screws on the brake handle, remove the brake handle, pull out the flat-head shaft and brake pin, and then the brake ring can be taken off. Remove the worn brake pads and attach new ones using aluminum rivets. 3. Spindle assembly and clutch: In centrifuges with a smaller diameter, the clutch is generally installed below the motor. During disassembly, first loosen the cover and the shaft end retaining ring; use a puller to extract the clutch from the motor shaft end, and then push out the drive shaft, so that the clutch plates and bearings can be cleaned or replaced separately. By removing the connection screws between the bearing housing and the chassis, the main bearing assembly along with the driven pulley can be lifted out from above the chassis. After removing the pulley using a puller, the upper and lower bearing covers can be taken off, allowing the main shaft along with the bearings to be lifted out of the bearing housing, so that the interior of the bearing housing and the bearings can be cleaned or replaced. For centrifuges with a diameter of over 1 meter, the centrifugal clutch is generally installed at the lower end of the main shaft. In the same manner as described above, it can be lifted out from above the chassis together with the main bearing components. By removing the clutch cover and the shaft end retaining ring, the clutch can be pulled off the main shaft using a puller; thereafter, the starting wheel can be forced out using a sleeve, allowing the centrifuge elements and bearings to be cleaned or replaced separately. 3. Methods for adjusting an uneven chassis. 4. If lifting equipment is available, the chassis can be lifted; otherwise, a hydraulic jack can be used to support it under the bottom surface of the chassis (near the three lugs), applying even pressure to lift the chassis so that the pin at the lower end of the swing rod can be removed. The thickness of the washer placed between the spherical washer and the chassis lug is determined based on the degree of unevenness. Additional washers and the swing rod pin are then installed to restore the chassis to its proper position.
