Dear colleagues, how is the performance of the acid mist filters for mixed dehydration in your company? Which company’s product is it? Are there Monsanto mist eliminators in use?
We have been using traditional fluorosilicone-oiled glass wool filter cartridges in mist eliminators, and the results have been fairly good; the \"cotton blankets\" need to be replaced every six months to a year under high production loads. As for Monsanto’s products, their prices are too high, so the company has never dared to offer them.
I have been using the mist remover quilts from Tianjin Shunda; the filter cartridges are also made by myself by drilling holes in PVC pipes, with a flow rate of exactly 0.1 meters per second. The moisture content at the outlet is one thousandth, which is slightly high. The fluorosilicone oil quilt is 50 mm thick and should be replaced every six months or so. I’ve always heard good things about Monsanto products, but I’ve never used them
We also use very traditional acid mist filters here; the cylinder itself is manufactured by us, and then lined with rubber on the outside. The filter element consists of fluorinated silica glass wool blankets, and these need to be replaced every about a year
We have used imported filter elements, and they worked very well; however, their price is high, so it’s up to the boss to decide whether to use them or not.
Could you provide a detailed explanation of acid mist filters? What is the general structural format, and what level of effectiveness can be achieved? Material, etc.? Thank you very much

Currently, domestic filter elements are limited by the technology related to the filter media itself (simple physical treatments are applied to the purchased filter media), resulting in a typical replacement cycle of 6–12 months; the filtering accuracy is low, and pressure drop control is also inadequate ; Foreign-brand filters, thanks to their special chemical treatment techniques for the filter media, ensure a high filtration efficiency (100% for particles >3μm, 99.5% for particles <3μm), a design service life of over 5 years, and a low pressure drop (typically controlled at 80–200 mm of water column) ; As for the price, I believe it’s within the reach of many people given the current market conditions. Those who are interested are welcome to get in touch with me for further discussion (I deal in imported mist eliminators). I hope to have more opportunities to exchange ideas with experts in this field. Thank you for your interest in our CECO FILTER mist removers.
