Could you be more specific about what type of vacuum pump? There are many types: centrifugal, vane, water ring, reciprocating, etc.

Nasim’s water ring vacuum pump is good; it still works fine after several years of use. A few more units were purchased later; they were renamed Jitinanas. Within a few days of operation, two of them broke down, probably because no filter was installed at the inlet.
