Cold coke is of poor quality; the water temperature is high, and too much coke accumulates in the coke field for an extended period of time.

Whether it’s delayed coking or coal coke, when they are left piled up in the sun for a long time, the volatile substances within them accumulate to form flammable gases. When these gases reach the explosive range, and there is oxygen along with temperatures high enough to trigger ignition, then fire will naturally occur... 2. As for spontaneous combustion caused by iron sulfide, I think the possibility of this is very low; it’s not the main cause.
