The installation height of the high liquid level alarm should meet the requirement that the liquid will not exceed the specified maximum level within minutes from the start of the alarm (within 10-15 minutes). What will happen if the liquid level is higher than the specified level?
In production, if the actual liquid level is higher than the set liquid level, it may cause the material to be overfilled and cause materials to cross each other. In addition, material loss may occur. If the liquid level of the heating medium is too high, it may cause the heating medium to overflow. Because the temperature of the heating medium is generally high, a safety accident may occur. LZ does not have detailed equipment usage so the above answer may not be complete. It is recommended to give the purpose of the relevant equipment for analysis!
What if we design fixed roof tanks, floating roof tanks, or internal floating roof tanks to store refined oil?
The liquid level will be higher than the specified level. As long as it is within the range of normal attire, there is no problem! But the accuracy of the liquid level must be ensured. The installation height of the high liquid level alarm should meet the requirement that the liquid will not exceed the specified maximum liquid level within minutes from the start of the alarm (within 10-15 minutes). On the one hand, it is the residual processing time required by the production process. On the other hand, it is related to the normal range setting of the liquid level gauge, making safe production more guaranteed!
If the liquid level is higher than the specified level, a tank accident will occur.
For external floating roof tanks, if the liquid level is higher than the specified level, the tank may easily run away, causing danger. For internal floating roof tanks, if the liquid level is higher than the specified level, it will easily overflow from the circumferential vent hole in the tank wall.
If the liquid level is higher than the specified level, control will be out of control and the control parameters will be disordered, forming a vicious cycle. Maybe it will shut down.
Material leakage, overpressure, overtemperature or even explosion may occur
Overflow accidents are prone to occur. In addition, the storage tank itself has a safe storage range. Safety accidents such as tank rupture may occur if the rated storage capacity is exceeded.
If the liquid level is too high, there is a risk of explosion, so the capacity regulations clearly state that the storage tank needs to increase the filling factor.
A preliminary accident analysis should be done. The vaulted roof tank is under pressure, and the breathing valve on the top of the tank leaks. The tank eventually leaks out, and even the flow rate is too fast and the tank top is overturned. The internal floating roof causes the floating plate to overturn and get stuck, and the material overflows from the tank wall, roof, and openings.
If the liquid level gauge is higher than the liquid level gauge, the liquid will flow out from the overflow port, and will it corrode the tank wall?
There may be some interlocking, such as safety valve opening and pump stopping. These are related to logic control.
The liquid level is too high. If the liquid level exceeds the high level, the alarm will occur, which may easily cause the equipment to explode. However, general equipment should be equipped with safety valves, breathing valves and other safety devices.
