Oh. I have already signed a contract with the third company.

It seems that apart from the raise in salary, there’s nothing particularly happy about; I’m even more tired than before.

There are many different ways to have lunch: 1. For those on shift rotations, the company provides meals at the work site, free of charge, as people aren’t allowed to leave easily. 2. There’s a company that has its own cafeteria, but it only offers subsidies; moreover, the food is extremely poor quality, and many dishes appear to be meat when seen, only to turn out to be vegetarian when eaten – the imitation is so good that it’s hard to tell the difference. 3. Another company allows employees to eat at the university cafeteria across from the office building, with the company covering the costs. 4. I also worked for a company that had its own kitchen inside the office building; they hired two women from outside to prepare the meals, who would go out to buy ingredients in the morning and prepare the food by noon. It was relatively affordable, and the food was quite good. 5. Later, I worked for another company that also had its own cafeteria, but they didn’t prepare the meals there instead opting to have them delivered by someone on a vehicle. Once, during a heavy snowstorm, everyone went without food until 2 p.m. 6. I was also at a funny company that claimed to provide both lunch and dinner – employees ate at a private residence outside the company, right below the company dormitories; the landlord prepared the meals. A large group of people gathered around one table, but there wasn’t enough space for everyone, so each person took some food, while others had to eat squatting against the wall outside... What’s funny is that the leftover food from lunch became the dinner for those who lived in the dormitories. That’s how they handled both meals. 7. My current company is frustrating – I have to pay myself for lunch, which is heartbreaking...

At first, I worked as an operator in a chemical plant, on a three-shift schedule, switching from the middle shift to the early shift; it was tiring. I got an eye strain after working there for a short time. The main problem was that there were no holidays during the New Year period. Then I changed jobs and started working on pilot tests, which was quite enjoyable. Together with a female colleague, we researched information and literature to develop a new product, and I felt very fulfilled doing that. Unfortunately, due to reasons related to the company (which produces phosgene), I was ordered to move and had to leave my job. I work in engineering at this company; I was sent to Zhuhai and stayed there for over 2 years. Now that I’m back at the headquarters, I feel like I’m just wasting time. Sigh.

I currently work at a petrochemical company that is part of CNPC. A new facility has just started operating, and we still work on a four-shift, three-day rotation system. I want to go home and be with my girlfriend!

I remember when I was working shifts at the factory, there was a guy who shared my shift; we got along incredibly well! He was also interested in philosophy and pure literature, and he had a good taste in music as well. Although he was a worker, we got along great. We would often go together to inspect the equipment on site. Each of us would carry a wrench, and as we walked around, we would casually tap on various devices and pipes. Once, while we were happily tapping away, someone came around the corner and said, “You two, you’re here again, destroying property!” Haha, it was the equipment supervisor from the workshop…… Everyone laughed, and my friend said, “You caught us again......” :lol :lol :lol

I have things to do, but I have post-holiday syndrome and don’t feel like doing them; I plan to start working next week! Don’t worry! I’ll study hard* and get ready for the exam! I don’t like Shanghai; the pace of life there is too fast and the atmosphere is too tense! You know, people from Yangzhou tend to be lazy and not very hardworking: lol
