I’m learning *ASPEN; I need help figuring out how to simulate vacuum distillation
You just need to set the pressure option in the distillation column settings to the absolute pressure you require.

If a strict simulation of vacuum distillation is to be carried out, an inert gas such as N2 is generally added, and some of this inert gas must be removed from the top of the tower. Non-condensable gases are generally the portion dissolved in the material and the air that leaks from the equipment. During calculations, first estimate the size of the equipment assuming no non-condensable gases are present; then determine the amount of vacuum leakage based on the conditions of the equipment, and add the amount of non-condensable gases contained in the material. Finally, include this calculated amount of non-condensable gases in the distillation column for further calculation.
I agree with the opinions from various teams; it is sufficient to set the pressure value in the pressure options to the operating pressure. Additionally, factors such as thermodynamic equations and the addition of non-condensable gases need to be taken into consideration, and these are all conclusions drawn by experienced professionals.
