Screw pumps can be used for liquids with high viscosity, offering high efficiency. Aviation kerosene has low viscosity, so centrifugal pumps are more efficient in this case.
Although aviation kerosene is a fuel oil, it is actually slightly lighter than diesel, so a centrifugal pump is sufficient.

It mainly depends on the purpose for transporting aviation fuel: multi-stage centrifugal pumps are used for long-distance transmission, while pipeline pumps are used for shorter distances. The aviation fuel standard is GB6537-2006; the viscosity is 1.25 mm2/s at 20° and 8 mm2/s at -20°.
Aircraft kerosene also uses vane pumps; these are employed when refueling aircraft on ships.
