The material in the bottom of the distillation tower is severely stratified; how can this stratification be broken during continuous operation so that the material in the tower bottom can be evenly fed to the next stage? [Last edited by hw197358 on 2009-2-5 20:51]
How about adding stirring to the bottom of the pot? Is the distillation tower under negative pressure?
What about considering external circulation around the kettle along with a static mixer?
An external circulation system is added to the tower bottom; the material in the tower bottom is mixed using the flow at the pump outlet, and attention should be paid to the flow rate; At high flow rates: Air may enter the inlet of the external circulation pump at the bottom of the tower, affecting the proper operation of the pump ; Flow rate in hours: The fluid stream at the pump outlet does not provide an effective mixing effect for the materials in the bottom of the tower.
At the tower outlet, air enters from below the kettle, achieving a certain degree of mixing effect
Is the material from the bottom of the tower being transferred out? Then a mixing tank with stirring or air blowing needs to be added outside; I haven’t thought of any other good solutions yet
The tower bottom! Generally, bottom feeding is used; this should help to reduce fluctuations in the fluid and alleviate the problem of stratification! ! !
For materials that tend to stratify, have high viscosity, or form scale, it is advisable to install a forced circulation pump between the tower bottom and the reboiler; this helps to prevent scaling and stratification and ensures thorough heating. It also meets LZ’s requirements

Isn’t the circulation in the tower bottom a forced circulation? If forced circulation is used, there shouldn’t be stratification! If it’s natural circulation, then the volume of this circulation must be large too~ How can there be stratification in the bottom of the tower? It’s hard to understand! In my workshop’s installation site, there is also a component for which the mixture does not separate into layers when sampling is taken (as forced circulation is achieved using a pump); however, it separates into layers within less than 5 minutes after sampling, and this is a serious issue!
