New materials have come out, SW6 has also been upgraded to 5.0, but there are many problems. Although Q245R and Q345R are added to the material, the original 16MnR was divided into normalized hot rolling and now it is Q345R. I don’t understand whether the mechanical properties of normalized hot rolling are the same? It stands to reason that some grades of stainless steel have also been changed, such as 0Cr18Ni9 to 06Cr19Ni10. However, there is still no change in the software. Today when calculating the skirt, I found that after the material is selected, the system cannot automatically select the corresponding allowable stress and bending modulus. I have to check it myself. There are many problems. I just found these for now. Welcome to discuss.

We feel that GB150 will be reissued soon and it is not cost-effective to buy it now. The new stainless steel standards have not been promoted on pressure vessels.

I think there are still many areas for improvement in SW6: 1. Only one working condition can be calculated. If you want to calculate multiple conditions, you have to repeat the calculation. It would be great if multiple working conditions can be calculated at the same time. 2. For pressure vessels with multiple heads, the calculation is too complicated. It would be great if a separate calculation program could be developed. 2. When calculating reinforcements, only one specification of pipe can be calculated. It would be great if the thickness of reinforcements for thick-walled pipes (reducing pipes) could be calculated. 3. The form of reinforcement is too single. If combined with integral forgings, a double reinforcement structure would be better. 4. The calculation of containers whose cylinders are welded with multiple materials is too complicated. I also agree with the opinion above. I originally made similar suggestions to SW6, but unfortunately they were not adopted. I hope the software developers of SW6 will see our voice.
Now after upgrading, if there are new materials or other things that need to be upgraded, there is no additional charge. You will have to upgrade sooner or later anyway.
I also want to see the true face of 5.0, but I haven’t been able to use it yet. In fact, the SW6 upgrade cannot be limited to the upgrade of materials.
Every time you upgrade, you have to drop a little bit of tail to be ready for the next time you make money.
