How to detect leaks in plate-type air cooling? How to fix it?

The plate-type air cooler of the unit, which was put into use in 2006, recently showed oil in its spray water; a leak in the plate-type air cooler is suspected. How can the location of the leak be identified? Is repair in China currently only possible at the factory?
Could you provide more details? Is it oil that is being cooled? Add more spray water?
Cut it out, pump water inside to conduct a pressure test, mark the various leakage points on the outside, then release the pressure. Separate the two sides of the cooler and weld the areas around the leaking passages shut using material identical to that used for the air cooling system. Conduct another pressure test – if there are no leaks, it’s fine. Actually, it can be handled on-site without having to return to the factory. If it is still within the warranty period, one can ask the manufacturer to send someone to deal with it; after the warranty period, a qualified construction team will suffice, but the welder’s skills must be excellent.
