What does the instrument symbol PIA mean on the design drawings?
Pressure indicating device with alarm function. p is pressure, i is indication, a is alarm
Do such instruments require the setting of upper and lower limit alarm values?
Will an alarm be triggered if no alarm value is set?:o
It definitely has to be set up. . When you provide the data, you need to give the normal and maximum values of the operating pressure. . I guess it should give an alarm when the pressure exceeds the maximum value (it’s just my guess); I’m not very familiar with gauges either. . Let someone who knows more come and explain it to us in detail.
As mentioned on the second floor, P stands for pressure, I for indication, and A for alarm. Whether upper and lower limits are set for the alarm function is indicated in the instrument list; it is not shown in the flowchart, but this can be adjusted.
