Our company uses glass plate level gauges for indicating the steam and water levels in the boilers. However, these glass plates break after less than a month of use (they develop patterns on their surface and the glass gets corroded). Could this phenomenon be due to an issue with the material of the glass plates? Friends, have you ever encountered this kind of problem?

Buy a professional water level gauge. We’ve never heard of this phenomenon occurring with the glass tube level gauges in our factory.
The quartz tube level gauges we use also leak frequently, which is annoying!

It’s important to address any leaks in the glass panels promptly, as otherwise they may get damaged. Additionally, it’s necessary to replace the glass panel gaskets each time there is a shutdown, as part of preventive maintenance.
Where did you get the glass panels from? I also bought some of good quality, but they only last a little over 3 months!
Installation is also important; be sure to use a torque wrench and tighten it in several stages!

We are now using a color quartz glass tube level gauge from Ryan Cologne, which can withstand temperatures of up to 400 degrees Celsius; it works very well as well. The liquid level is clearly visible, easy to observe, and it comes equipped with an illumination light. It’s been in use for almost 2 years with hardly any maintenance needed.
Generally, one orders from a level gauge manufacturer by simply stating that it is for a boiler, along with information on temperature and pressure; there’s no need to pay attention to so many details.
A magnetic float level gauge can be used; it is corrosion-resistant and easy to maintain.
