I graduated last year. My major at school was Polymer Materials and Engineering, and now I work in a fine chemicals factory doing formula design. I’ve heard that experimental design is the foundation of formula design. I lack a rational and logical approach for analyzing single-factor or multi-factor experimental designs. As for multi-factor experimental design methods, I have heard of orthogonal experimental design, and I’ve read some materials on the topic, but I still can’t understand it. The Minitab software can be used; it’s available online. It is applicable to experimental design. Classic multi-factor experimental methods include Taguchi experimental design and uniform experimental design.

Just find a book on orthogonal experiments; by following the examples in it, you can create factor tables and orthogonal tables. For result analysis, you can carry out the calculations yourself or download an orthogonal experiment assistant from the Internet! If that doesn’t work, just describe in detail what you need to do, and everyone can help!
There is a simple software for orthogonal experimental design. Forgot what the name is... it’s something like “Orthogonal Experiment Assistant”, right? It’s quite useful
I’ve downloaded the Orthogonal Experiment Assistant, but I don’t know how to design experiments. Right now I’m mainly working with emulsified waxes, and the factors involved include wax content, temperature, stirring speed, and the HLB value of the surfactants used in the mixture. Could you please advise on how to design such experiments?
There are examples available in the Minitab software; it is used to determine, through experiments, the extent to which various influencing factors affect the target quality, as well as whether there are any interactions between these factors (something that is difficult to determine through conventional experiments)
