New process for coal-to-methanol production

The first phase of the Baotou Shenhua Coal Chemical Project involves 1.8 million tons per year of methanol and 600,000 tons per year of olefins. The project is progressing smoothly and in an orderly manner; almost all personnel have been assigned, and some of the long-term equipment has been ordered. The overall design institute is Tianchen Institute, which is also responsible for the gasification portion of the design; bidding for the remaining design institutes has been completed. Selection of process route: 1. Gasification using the Texaco process (seven gasifiers) ； 2. Purification via Linde methanol washing (two systems operating in parallel) process ； 3. The synthesis is carried out using a single system from the British company Davy ； Methanol-to-olefins is a 1.8 million tons per year (DMTO) technology developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; the catalyst used is that produced by CP Group’s CP Energy Materials Co., Ltd. for DMTO processes ； 4. The olefin separation technology is ABB LUMMUS olefin separation technology ； 600,000 tons of polyethylene were produced using Univation’s UNIPOL(TM) PE process equipment ； 6. The 300,000-ton polypropylene plant uses products from the American company Dow Chemical ； 7. The sulfur recovery system is provided by Shandong Sanwei Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd ； 8. The air separation unit is divided into 4 sets of super-large-scale facilities with a capacity of 60,000 units each; the supplier is Hangyang, and the air compressors are manufactured by MAN. One set is equipped with a full-distillation argon production system, while three sets have a single-stage argon purification tower ； 9. The boilers are 3 high-temperature, high-pressure coal-fired pulverized coal boilers, accompanied by 2 50MW directly air-cooled extraction-type heat supply gas turbine generators ； That’s it, does anyone else have anything?
