I took the exam on Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering last year; the results were released last night: 61 + 86. I started preparing for the exam less than a month before it, and I only used the study materials provided by Tianjin University – I managed to go through the exercises once but didn’t finish them all. I never expected to pass the exam successfully; I really have to give credit to those study materials from Tianjin University. (*^__^*) Hehe……

Is it useful to obtain a certification as a chemical engineer? These days, it’s ability that matters most.
The original poster must have had a solid foundation in their studies; I hope they can share some of their experience when they have time O(∩_∩)O~
I just looked at my university textbooks and passed the basic and specialized courses, without wasting any money needlessly.
I’m also using that book from Tianjin University; it’s quite good, haha. There are quite a few original questions from that book in the chemical engineering design section of the basic exams!
As long as you review Principles of Chemical Engineering carefully, you can pass without referring to any review materials.

That’s because many of the original exam questions came from that book. I also used the materials provided by Tian Da University in 2005; there were at least 13 original questions in those materials. When I took the professional exam in 2008, I felt that the books from Tian Da University weren’t comprehensive enough; it’s still better to use quality books, such as those on chemical engineering principles

When I took the professional exam in 2005, due to the heavy volume of design tasks, I only went through the review question sets twice; I didn’t even finish reading the review guides. Fortunately, I was familiar with the \"Process Design Manual,\" and when it came to the case study questions, I was able to answer three of them. As a result, it was just enough to pass on the second day, while the score for the basics on the first day exceeded the required level by ten points.

I also bought this set of books, but I didn’t pass the exam in 2006; it’s not because the books were bad. I’m indeed too busy with work and don’t have time to read. Ah, a few points short; I’m busy right now! I’d like everyone to help assess just how much improvement can be achieved after taking the exam. Should I try to find time to read, or focus on making some money?

The main thing is that the basic exams are simple; once you understand the principles of chemistry and physical chemistry, you’ll be able to pass easily
