What should be done with acetic acid and vinyl acetate plants if the market performs poorly in the future?

Our factory already has an acetic acid production plant, and we plan to build another plant for vinyl acetate. We would like an assessment of how we should proceed if the market conditions deteriorate in the future. I wonder if this approach is correct. My ideas are as follows: 1. The process for producing acetic acid using the carbonyl method can be adjusted to produce anhydrides, which can then be used to manufacture acetates. 2. The reactors used in the production of vinyl acetate can also be modified to produce allyl alcohol, which can further be used to make 14BDO. Thus, even if the market for acetic acid declines, it is possible to switch to producing other products without having to incur additional fixed investment. I’m not sure if it’s convincing, or if there are better alternatives.
