On How to Better Compile Technical Exchange Posts in Foreign Language Areas

After reading the technical summary post on “Final Fantasy,” I was inspired, which led to the idea of compiling technical exchange posts from foreign-language forums. However, it is difficult to compile technical exchange posts from foreign language forums (especially those related to chemical engineering in English), mainly because it’s hard to determine the appropriate keywords – many posts have very vague topics, making it impossible to search for them. It can be categorized based on the characteristics of the English language, such as vocabulary, writing, listening and speaking, and professional literature. To be honest, creating summary posts for the foreign language section is really challenging. As echommm mentioned, it’s very difficult to determine the appropriate keywords. Unlike other sections, where keywords can be easily identified and members know exactly which keywords to use to find what they’re looking for, there’s a real need to discuss in detail the procedures and management methods for summary posts in the foreign language section! Personally, I think it should be organized as follows: 1. Posts with foreign-language materials; 2. Posts seeking technical assistance (which can be further subdivided, such as those related to equipment or processes); 3. General posts (which can be further divided into posts with Chinese and English poems, prose (beautiful writing), and entertainment-related posts)
A foreign language is a language; what sets it apart from engineering and technology is its greater breadth, as it is difficult to confine a piece of foreign-language material to certain keywords. I think it would be useful to create a summary post for materials related to exams like GRE and IELTS. Other foreign-language materials cannot be organized.
First, find a way to summarize the posts in the foreign language materials section. Summarizing posts in the discussion area isn’t very meaningful.
