From a production operation perspective, as long as the vacuum level can be maintained, any type of vacuum pumping method can be used. Both of these technologies are acceptable; since the cost of steam is higher than that of electricity, using hydraulic vacuuming results in lower operating costs.

Both vacuuming with water and vacuuming with steam can achieve the desired vacuum level, but vacuuming with water allows for recycling, saves steam, and reduces operating costs. It is more convenient to use steam for operation.
