Some thoughts on forum post management

When people post replies on forums, it is mainly to help others solve problems or discuss things together – this is the right approach. So I think the relevance of a post is limited in time; the poster can at most pay attention to their own posts for a few months at most. These days I often come across replies to posts that are from a year, or even two years ago, and **most of those responders are beginners – I’d say the vast majority of them are there to make money. Such posts really have little value. It is recommended to set a time limit for responding to posts; after that limit, people can read the replies but not post any new ones. Of course, it ultimately depends on the awareness of all the sailors.
1. Replying to posts does not bring any wealth. 2. New users remain new because they don’t yet know how to reply to posts. 3. Replies from new users aren’t necessarily nonsense; there might be better answers. The above are my personal opinions. So many posts are not closed by the moderators; only those whose issues have been completely resolved are closed by them.
That’s the logic: for the same problem, different answers can be obtained at different times, and perhaps later answers will be more suitable; what we need to do is wait for that better solution
It is best to close the question once an answer is found, but moderators may not be able to handle it promptly due to professional constraints; therefore, it is hoped that the poster will reply in a timely manner to confirm whether the correct answer has been obtained, so that the moderator can stay informed on the status of resolving the issue. Certain rewards are given to members who respond promptly to questions once they have been resolved, which helps to ensure that such issues are dealt with effectively.
The upgraded version of ttlkk addressed this issue; it’s due to the limitations associated with the expertise of moderators. I had previously suggested that professionals should serve as moderators – for example, those in the field of pipeline valves should be in charge of areas related to pipeline valves, or those who are involved in the design, construction, and operation management of such systems. This way, it’s possible to ensure that experts are in charge, rather than laypeople. I hope that an influential moderator will post a discussion and consult with the cleaning station supervisor to reach a decision.
