A gas flow meter is a device used to measure gas flow rate. Installed in the pipeline to record the amount of gas flowing through it. It is usually installed in gas users to record gas consumption, which is why it is commonly known as a gas meter. But it can also be used for the metering of other gases. There are dry and wet types. The commonly used dry gas flowmeter is the sliding vane type gas meter. It contains air pockets made of leather or plastic, whose walls can expand and contract as gas enters or exits; these pockets are connected to a measuring instrument via sliding flaps to record the volume that has passed through. A wet gas flow meter mainly consists of a drum with four chambers, A, B, C, and D, located within a housing. The lower half of the drum is submerged in water. The gas enters each chamber sequentially from the center at E, and as it is discharged from the top, this forces the drum to rotate. The number of rotations is recorded by a recorder, thereby yielding an accumulated value.
