Seek control criteria for coking raw materials; in particular, what is the general limit for salt content? Please give some guidance!
The salt content should ideally be less than 10 milligrams per gram; higher salt levels can lead to an increased rate of coking in the heating furnace. Some sources suggest that it should not exceed 30 milligrams per gram. The key issue is that the salt deposits inside the furnace tubes are difficult to remove using conventional coking methods – only mechanical cleaning techniques can eliminate them. Our team will discuss a technical agreement with a company specializing in mechanical cleaning next week.
I’ve seen some information stating that the salt content should not exceed 300 ppm; 30 milligrams per gram seems too high, doesn’t it?
